Scaling Sustainable Ventures and Impact Investing: Lessons from Mills Fabrica

Join Cintia for an eye-opening session on building entrepreneurial ecosystems and communities to empower entrepreneurs and early-stage ventures to tackle climate change, resource scarcity, and other urgent planetary challenges. The talk unpacks how mission-aligned capital and industry partnerships can drive systemic shifts by supporting technologies and business models that respect planetary boundaries while creating long-term economic and social value. Cintia shares Mills Fabrica’s unique business models and venture investment strategy for innovation in the fields of sustainability, techstyle, and agrifood, demonstrating some real-world examples. This session offers insights for students and teachers interested in social entrepreneurship, impact investing, and sustainable innovation.

About the speaker

Cintia Nunes is the General Manager and Head of Asia of The Mills Fabrica. As the innovation engine to sustainability and impact of Hong Kong conglomerate Nan Fung Group, Cintia leads the team to connect innovators in the techstyle and agrifood tech space with capital, connections, and expertise — to bring sustainability tech innovations from concept to market. Drawing inspiration from social business principles that prioritise both profitability and purpose, she is committed to facilitating collaboration among stakeholders across the ecosystem to advance positive environmental and social impact at scale. Before joining The Mills Fabrica, Cintia served as Chief of Strategy and Growth at Hong Kong’s largest network of social enterprises and impact ventures. She also held leadership roles at a multinational FMCG company where she formalised business strategies for over 10 brands.

About Mills Fabrica

Officially launched in 2018, Fabrica (part of the Nan Fung Group) aims to create positive social impact for future generations with like-minded entrepreneurs and strategic partners. It focuses on incubating and investing in sustainable innovations, building an international community of sustainability, innovators, entrepreneurs and visionaries, and sharing with everyone our physical spaces (co-working/ events/ prototyping lab/ experiential store). Fabrica has offices in Hong Kong and London.
